Best Places to Celebrate Dad in Stockton, California
Here are a few things that you can do in Stockton, California for your daddy dearest!
June normally means the start of outdoor concerts and food fairs, but we know this year is a little different. What remains the same, is our ability to celebrate those important men in our lives on Father’s Day! While Mom gets all the attention in May, it’s time to shine a spotlight on dad. This year, Father’s Day will be celebrated on Sunday, June 16. There’s nothing wrong with going the traditional route of tossing a few hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill at home, but give this list a look over for a few ideas to mark the special occasion in other ways in Stockton.
Father's Day Brunch at Kings Card Club
Kings Card Club is having their special "Father's Day Brunch" Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm. Their menu features bistro steak filet & eggs (featuring an 8 ounce certified Angus Beef center cut top sirloin steak), a Monte Cristo sandwich, and carnitas chilaquiles. Why not start dad's special day with a brunch that will put him in a delightful food coma?!
Note: Kings is expecting a big turn out so be sure to call ahead of time and make reservations! (209) 267-4567.

BONUS: Spots like Windmill Cove, The Kitchen @ StoneBrier, and Cast Iron Trading Co. have live musical acts going down this weekend. Catching some entertainment while you eat with pops is definitely a great pick.
Tee Time with Dad
Golfing and Father’s Day run hand-in-hand in many ways. If your dad’s idea of relaxation is a round of golf, help him tee off at a local golf course. Never golfed before? This is a great time to start! A match on the green at one of the area’s notable golf courses with some practice swings on the range will make for a perfect Father’s Day outing - and see if Dad’s still got a hang on that golf swing. Don’t forget to grab a bite to eat at an on-site restaurant to keep dad fueled.
- The Reserve At Spanos Park - An 18-hole course within 360 acres of lakes, wetlands, and working farmland. Restaurant and bar on site.
- Elkhorn Golf Club - Golf enthusiasts will have a great time on and off the course. Restaurant on site.
- Swenson Park Golf Course - An 18-hole course featuring a 9-hole executive par 3 course, driving range, two putting greens, and a practice bunker. Cafe on site.
- Micke Grove Golf Links - This links-style course features 18 holes situated amidst the grapevines and vineyards in Lodi. Cafe on site.
Axes with Dad
Why not take dad out for brews and ax throwing? No, really! For a fun activity on Father’s Day, treat dad to some tasty brews and plenty of ax throwing with Limitless Axes & Ales! Located over at Lincoln Center, ax throwing with a cold one could just be the chill release that dad is looking for. Dressing like a Viking isn't required... but we're not against it.
Go to the Movies
Help your dad escape from the stresses of real life for a couple of hours with—what Dane Cook would phrase as—a "cinematic adventure." Regal Stockton City Centre Cinema 16 IMAX & Regal Stockton Cinema 8 are stocked up with the most recent Hollywood blockbusters to hit the silver screen. Whether it's Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, Inside Out 2, or any other releases, you're sure to find the perfect entertaining story for dad to lose himself in.
