Stockton Black Expo
Overview
For over two decades the city of Stockton has embraced the Black Expo as a way towards success. This year the Stockton Black Expo will feature a celebration to honor the 60th anniversary of the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act by hosting the Civil Rights Leadership Awards Gala on October 26 at the San Joaquin Fairgrounds when the actual Expo activities conclude.
This piece of legislation is one of the most significant rights enactments and guarantees ever signed into law. It assures that people of color have access to opportunities without hesitation.
The Black Expo Stockton will honor those that are assuring these rights are maintained by the incredible works and deeds they pursue. Our honorees are from the community, the church, in education, business owners and politicians who continue to manifest the opportunities created by equal access.
Black Expo Stockton continues to bring information and resources into the community with our Job Fair, the Careers In Law Enforcement area; information for homeownership; health and wellness opportunities and educational schools, programs for children and adults.
There will also be lots of fun for everyone. The entertainment, our car show, and the very special talent show will keep you entertained and busy all day.
And don't forget about the food. You have to enjoy the food court are where the best cooks are throwing it down with their one-of-of-a kind recipes.
If you would like to be a vendor, call 279-399-0842 and join the fun.
Black Expo is free and open to the public from 11am-5pm.
