San Joaquin AgFest: Junior Show and Auction
Overview
The biggest and best junior livestock show and auction in the county is the San Joaquin AgFest. June 8-15, 2024 at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton.
Local 4-H, Grange, and FFA Youth with projects in the beef, swine, sheep, goats, dairy, rabbits, turkeys, poultry, cavy, and dog areas will compete to see whose animal is the best. The best market animals will be sold during the livestock auction on Saturday, June 18th. There are also horticulture, vocational agriculture projects, and floral exhibits to admire.
AgFest showcases many projects that are a part of the students’ agricultural studies for their four-year high school programs, and can affect scholarships and entrance into some colleges and universities. Some of the exhibitors started their projects as young 4-H members and developed them into successful businesses that will fund their future education and become a career path.
The San Joaquin AgFest Junior Livestock & Auction is an independent event put on by an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting 4-H, Grange, and FFA, and the future of our children and our nation.
