Ray's Chicken and Fish Mart has a huge variety of proteins to choose from. You can order chicken, fish, oysters, crab, lobster or any of their other fresh meats and have them cook it there for you or take it home to dish up yourself. The owner Ray takes great pride in his restaurant and loves answering any questions you may have about cooking up the meat at home or what the best flavor matches are for your meal.
Take a "create your own" seafood platter to a pot luck and you are sure to be the most favorite guest there. Don't forget to grab some to-go jambalaya, sauces and sides. We heard the hush puppies are killer!

We came to stockton from Sac to visit, and we came to Ray's. It is a hole in The Wall u gotta know where to go. The food was great, seasoned well service Great and Friendly. RAY is awesome! Oh also they have 2 places in Sacramento, on Fulton and on Bruceville by Kaiser. Check em out!
I'm from Miami and used to Snappers Fish and Chicken. I'm in search of something similar since I'm in the area. I'm so glad I found Ray's! Everything is fresh, the market is clean and fresh, and the service is perfect. I was lucky enough to meet the man himself, Ray. Turns out he grew up in Miami and knew all about Snappers😅 I got a whiting and jumbo shrimp combo. Had the whiting fried hard, and it was perfectly executed! Fish was flaky, fresh, and not dried out. The jumbo shrimp were, in fact, jumbo shrimp. The potato salad, I knew it was good when I saw the small container, but I know next time to get extra because it was fire 🔥. Definitely a 10 outta 10, and now when I'm craving my cheat day,I know where I'm going!
Working my way up north through CA from Arizona. I found a amazing fish n chicken house ran by Ray. I must admit you won't find a establishment like this NO WHERE in AZ. The service and pricing of my catfish dinner was outstanding. I'll differently return during the few days in in Stockton Ca. Thx so much for being so helpful with your menu. Peach cobbler was the freaking BOMB!
Was looking for a place with lobster DoorDash and happened to call Rays to inquire about the size of the tails. Ray answered the phone and told me he’d take care of me. Great deal on a huge lobster tail, scallops and jumbo prawns. Picture speaks for itself!
My man took me here for the first time. All I can say is don't waste your time going to JJ's Fish and Chicken.... this place is the bomb! Great owner and amazing food. I can't wait to go back! I got dessert too, but I'm too full to eat it!
