It was nice walk 😄 ... I would have spent a lil more time on the animals like at least 10 min per animal but had kids they run crazy total good experience if you go with a special someone to talk and walk with ❤️😅😄
The experience was pleasant a simple local small zoo that the younger kids enjoy. The staff was friendly and the animals amused the children. The zoo and surrounding areas are well kept and clean. After the zoo we joined a family at the the middle river picnic shelter area . Very spacious picnic area with modern wire tables not wood. We enjoy the side grass area . The children and adults played soccer in that area and the play ground was very close to us. Parking was $ 6.00 we were able to play music and have a tacos.
If you have children in school who are going to Valley Day here at Mike Grove. Please take the parent workshops. It is so much fun. This fun event is run by volunteers . Parents, teachers, community volunteers. You get to dress up 1800 attire. Most importantly, the excitement you see in your children's face.
Cute little zoo. Very quiet. It won't take you long to see it all, so it's great if you're looking to do something local but not all day. There appears to be a giraffe photo that pops up when you look the zoo up on Google maps. There are no giraffes at this zoo. Also, the day I went there was no working water, so the restrooms were all closed. Other than that, a cute little zoo to stroll.
It is so sad to see these animals caged in like a prison. The bobcat was beautiful tho he looked so bored poor guy. Then they have the hawk in the TINIEST caged area which was so sad to see. As we watched him he was gazing up looking beyond the caged area he was in, looked like he was daydreaming of flying free. 😥 Next to the hawk I can't remember what animal was there, I just remember it was alot smaller than the hawk, but had a HUGE area to reside in. We were really excited to visit, but we both left in tears. Because our hearts ached for the freedom of these beautiful creatures.
