During summer, the winery’s Ironstone Amphitheater plays host to a concert series with world-class artists from several types of music.

While the wines are ok, this winery is a destination stop. Get ready to spend half a day. Get pizza. Get a bottle of cab Franc. Sit in the patio. Enjoy the wine and food. Walk to the lake. Explore gift shop. Admire the huge gold nugget. Lovely.
Large operation but great service and nice selection of wines. We signed up for the tour and it was absolutely worth it just to hear the pipe organ in one of their banquet halls. Amazing save from an old church. Bravo! My wife did the tasting and found everything from drier reds to sweeter fruit wines. Good place to go with friends of varied wine tastes. They were having a flash sale and offered free shipping on a case- she picked her favorites from the tasting and a case is on its way back to Virginia. Staff was super friendly and nice place to spend a few. Highly recommended.
A wonderful wine tasting experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The tasting room is beautiful and tastefully decorated but extremely functional. I started with the Chardonnay Classic *****, followed by a Chenin Blanc ***, followed by Obsession Symphony *****, then the 2021 Pinot Noir ****, and three Cabernet Sauvignons, each better than the last. The best was the Kramer Ranch Cabernet. Not inexpensive, but worth every dollar. This visit was part of the Spring Fling which allows you taste wines from20 wineries for a $50 ticket. Unbelievable. 👍👍❤️
We visited on 3/21/24, had lunch on the deck and enjoyed the spectacular flowers. Lunch was a bit pricey and unremarkable, but we weren't there for the food. :-)
A family’s labor of love is reflected in the magnificence of the property and the kindness of the folks working there to provide memorable and meaningful experiences. The wine tasting is a wonderful way to socialize with friends & family. I was quite fond of the the Sommelier whose knowledge and quick wit banter both delighted and educated me. Well worth the experience!
