The fried ribs were good. I did not like the Mac and cheese, or the roll. The roll could have been heated and served with some butter. The chicken strips were ok, but the tater tots were good. The service was a little different, you seat yourself, you look at the menu, then you have to go order. They do not come take your order at the table.
Went last night with a friend and my partner. We had gone by their booth during University of the Pacific's welcome week, down the Miracle Mile. The pulled pork sliders they handed out were AMAZINGLY soft and tender, and the flavor was extremely good yet subtle. The boldness of the sauce they use was also delicious, we couldn't help coming back for a full meal, which we did last night. Their brisket was so tender, I was given a fork and a knife, but there was absolutely no need for the knife. It split apart with just my fork like butter. It was a little cold, I think it just cooled very quickly as the restaurant was extremely air conditioned, but it was absolutely amazing nonetheless. My friend got the rib sandwich, and my partner got a pulled pork sandwich. We all kept raving about the food and the tenderness to each other, and the pub fries were excellent with a side of ranch. The service though was amazing. All the servers were extremely kind and friendly, and the two young girls we interacted with the most were so kind and courteous. We all had an absolutely amazing time. We will definitely keep coming back!
On the Miracle Mile in Stockton, this is a hotspot for authentic BBQ. Owned and operated by Don and his team, this guy does an outstanding job providing delectable plates that would please just about anybody. The portion sizes are very generous, so bring an appetite and a friend. Very clean restaurant and good vibes. TouchTunes jukebox allows you to play whatever music you’re feeling without many restrictions. Father’s Day special was Dino Ribs, I’m speechless…Unbelievable smoke ring and the flavor was killer. For such a large piece of meat it was tender and juicy. With specials everyday, $14 Domestic pitchers, good music and killer food, you can’t go wrong. 10/10 Highly Recommend! Edit: Please add REUBEN and CUBANO sandwiches to the menu. I can ensure you these will be popular at this location.
Everything was as expected. My son found his new favorite BBQ spot now that he's here in Stockton with me. The brisket was tender and fell apart in my mouth. I've always loved the chilibeans there and the fries!
I can't imagine believing the lower reviews. Either they lack the ability to taste or they're jealous this place absolutely craps on whatever they bbq at home. Though I've never been to Texas, but having spent some time in the Carolinas with good old southern cookin', this place easily compares and beats it. Highly recommend the bbq at Fat City. The Dino Ribs on Father's Day was easily the best tasting cut of meat I've ever had hands down. I've come to love the BBQ Brisket hamburger and the Pastrami is also to die for. This isn't a one off review; I've come here many times, tried a variety of menu items and have yet to leave without being thoroughly satisfied.
