Stopped by Don Luis and had a really great experience. The restaurant feels comfortable and welcoming right when you walk in. It has that classic local spot atmosphere where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal. I ordered the shrimp plate and it was delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the portions were generous. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, not rushed or overly heavy. My daughter really enjoyed her meal, and the staff was great. The overall experience felt relaxed and enjoyable.
We love this place!! Birria tacos are out of this world and the chicken chimichangas were right up there. Miguel took great care of us.
Authentic food from a local long time anchor. Was very busy. Good taste and leaves you full. Service was pretty slow and a beer costs too much. Like how about $4 for a beer ?
I am a forever lover of don Luis and the gravy they serve. I love these guys, casa Flores, Octavio’s, Cancun and senior frogs for the gravy. I wish they would come out to southern Cali. Ever since I moved south I can’t seem to find any Mexican food with the gravy I crave. Don Luis is always my fav!! 💛
