Just because the sun is going down doesn't mean the fun has to stop! Here are some family-friendly activities to do in Stockton at night.
***National Night Out - Tuesday, August 6 at Stockton Ballpark***

Music in the Park
Victory Park is filled with music on Wednesdays July through August as the Concerts in the Park series has returned. The free concerts run from 6-8 pm and each one features a different style of music. It's a great way for parents to relax and take in some tunes while the kids run around with a few dozen of their newest friends. Sounds like a win-win! Catch a movie
There's no better way to take in a big Hollywood blockbuster than at the Regal Stockton City Centre Cinema 16 & IMAX. Nothing brings the action to life like a massive IMAX screen. The fact that they have reclining lounge seating only adds to the experience as you can be comfortable—while also being blown away by the spectacle on the screen. The theater is conveniently located in the middle of Stockton's downtown district, putting a wide array of dining options within reach, helping you make it a true night out with the family.

Take in a game
What's more traditional than taking the family to see a baseball game? The Stockton Ports play at Stockton Ballpark through most of September and they put on quite a show. Not only will you see some great baseball, but every home game has some sort of promotion as well adding to the fun. Home games start at 7:05 pm except for Sundays, which start at 6:05 pm. Now, we could make a "Family time at the ballpark is sure to be a hit" joke here, but we're above that sort of thing. But you know the kids will have a ball.

In addition to stock car races, they also bring in stunt bikes, drift racing, and just about every class of race car you can imagine.

Explore the sky
Grab your telescope and take the family out for an evening of star gazing at Oak Grove Regional Park. Astronomy in the Park is headed by the Stockton Astronomical Society, where they volunteer their time in guiding future astronomers through the glorious sky above us every Saturday closest to the First Quarter Moon. Telescope viewing starts just after Sunset when the Moon will be easily visible from the start. As the sky darkens more, objects become visible for your viewing pleasure. Plus, there's indoor astronomy activities inside the Nature Center.
