Bigworm's Bakery and Deli
A delicious combo of bakery and deli, Bigworm's is a local favorite where owner Kenny always greets you with a smile. In addition to delicious baked goods, the burgers there are amazing. The "Wormanator" includes two beef patties, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and grilled onions on 2 pieces of buttermilk toast, topped with house barbecue sauce.
For those with a sense of adventure, the "Donut Burger" is also available. It is exactly what the name suggests: two meat patties placed lovingly between two customized glazed donuts, with cheese, two slices of bacon, and one egg, and topped off with house sauce. It is truly an experience.

Bob's at the Marina
Besides having one of the best locations in the city, Bob's at the Marina is also well known for its classic burgers. There's nothing like eating outside at Village West Marina, watching the boats come and go while you sink your teeth into your favorite meal. "Bob's Giant Hamburger" is a solid choice any day of the week, but if you're looking for something a little less run-of-the-mill, we suggest the "Sourdough Burger"—burger patty, grilled onions, pickles, saucy mustard, American or jack cheese, all on grilled sourdough bread.
Note: Vegans and vegetarians will be happy to know they can order the "Garden Burger" - made with a meatless patty (a tasty combo of vegetables, rice, oats, and wheat).

Midnight at Burnie's Drive-Up
Midnight at Burnie's Drive-Up is the stop you make late at night with friends or family who will only be satisfied by a crazy delicious burger. They don't open until 5 pm and they stay open until midnight or 2 am, depending on the day of the week! Special creations are must-haves, so be sure to ask what new flavors are being offered.
A regular menu item of note is "The Cowboy Burger"—stacked with bacon, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled jalapenos, cheddar cheese, and their signature bacon BBQ sauce. We also suggest the "Mushroom and Swiss Burger" which includes lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, and Burnie sauce.

Squeeze Burger
If you love cheese on your burger, Squeeze Burger is the perfect stop for you. They are famous for their cheese skirt, which is an enormous piece of bubbly and crispy cheese that extends well past the confines of the burger structure. If you haven't seen it, you are in for a treat at this Lincoln Center eatery!
We like the "Chorizo Squeeze" which includes a grilled patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, chorizo, mayo, mustard, dill pickle, tomato, onion, and lettuce. We do suggest pairing this one with a local draft beer. If you are looking to go big, order “The Works Squeeze” because it is loaded with all the bacon, pastrami, mushrooms, avocado, and jalapeños you could want, along with a deliciously crispy cheese skirt. There may be a no bigger challenge.

American Waffle Diner
American Waffle Diner is understandably well known for their chicken and waffles. They're spectacular. But what happens when they take their waffle expertise and apply it to a burger? You get the waffle burger, and it's fantastic! The waffle burger is one of those ideas that has people saying "Why didn't we think of this before?" It's all the typical burger fixtures you're used to but with waffles for buns. If you're thinking you need to try something different, this may be exactly what you've been looking for.
